I purchased B&W twist earrings at a mall jewelry store and was considering purchasing the matching necklace. I was thrilled to find that I could get it on Amazon for 1/2 the jewelry store price. I was very concerned about how the quality of the Amazon version would compare. The pieces are identical in how they are made but the jewelry store earrings have much darker black diamonds then the Amazon necklace. They necklace looks black but when you hold it up to the earring in bright light by comparison they look a dark smoky gray. My belief is that they are actually made by the same company and the higher quality versions go to jewelry stores while Amazon gets the lower quality ones. The difference in the stone color is barely noticeable but it is there. I will keep the Amazon piece as I don't think anyone will be examining my jewelry that closely. I am not a jeweler so the comment on the quality of the diamonds is only my personal opinion.More detail ...
